The final meeting of the Bangor Art Society was held at the Bangor Public Library today 05/22/12 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Wayne Walker and Judy Boothbee presented the Schoodic International Sculpture Syposium to be held in Orono. Bangor is supporting this project that will not be in our area again. These are International Sculptures that are world renown. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss. Bangor Art Society artist may sketch or paint during the goings on. Volunteers are
needed to manage the gate.....Orientation for the event will be June 23rd

Anne Spencer reported that she has opened an Art Gallery on Rt. 1,
Main St in Searsport.
The Gallery is called Gallery 37 and the hours are from 10-6 Tues.
thru Sat. and Sun 12-5pm
Discussion of the Summer project settled on the "Night Sky"
Use any medium.
Paint Bangor Day poster and post cards were distributed . Please pick up post card from Uli and mail them
to your contact list. Invite friends and family. Make this a big success.
